FOR STUDENTS



How to make preparations for SA II/Annual exams?


  1. Know the meanings of difficult words in the questions and the answers.
  2. Learn formats.
  3. Learn and write titles and writers/poets.
  4. Write some of the long and short answers at home.
  5. Learn the summary of lessons/poems.
  6. Learn how to identify literary devices like figures of speech in poems.
  7. Good preparedness will boost your confidence.



How to attempt/write exams?


  1. Read the questions carefully.
  2. Attempt the best prepared answers/sections first. But do not change the number of questions. (If question number 3rd is attempted first, the answer should be numbered 3rd)
  3. Attempt the least prepared answers/sections in the end.
  4. Follow the word limit.
  5. Attempt the questions even if you do not know the answers.
  6. Write beautifully.
  7. Sentences should be informative.
  8. Revise the answers, if possible, after attempting all the questions.
  9.  Distribute time carefully.
  10. Time consumed will vary from the planned one. Do not worry.
  11. Avoid overwriting. Cut a word only once, if unavoidable.
  12. Leave one line blank between two answers.
  13. Neither help nor seek help in the examination hall.
  14. Pray to almighty for few seconds only. (Your choice)
  15. Good preparations will boost your confidence.

Answers to the questions posted on 31.01.2016:

Write 8 proverbs/sayings which contain the following words:
-          Make hay while the sun shines.
-          To be at the daggers drawn.
-          A burnt child dreads the fire.
-          Charity begins at home.
-          Rome was not built in a day.
-          Beggars cannot be choosers.
-          Strike while the iron is hot.
-          Spare the rod and spoil the child.

Other answers  possible.

Change as directed:
-          My father says it.
-          One of them sang a song.
-          Why has John not cooperated with us?
-          Two and two will make four.
-          Will their students not be marching?
-          You have been obeying me.
