A bus carrying about 50 school students of a reputed public school was plying at a very high speed .The driver lost the control on the steering. The bus hit the divider and turned upside down. The shrieks of panicked children ranted in the air. A car just ahead of the bus was also damaged by being hit at its rear left corner. Luckily the occupants of the car and those travelling in the bus had a providential escape. All students were safe but two lady teachers and the driver of the car were severely wounded. Story Writing

Question:

Read the inputs /main points given below and develop a story in about 150-200 words. Also write a moral.

Four friends decide - go on picnic – reach canal bank – do not know how to swim – enter water – ignore warning  - go in deep water – start drowning – fisher men rescue – rewarded.

Ignorant Friends

Four boys were studying in an engineering college at Ghaziabad. It was Sunday. They wanted recreation and merriment. They made a plan of a picnic and decided to visit the Ganga Canal at Murad Nagar. They hired a taxi and reached its beautifully decorated banks in the morning.

They were greatly impressed by the devotional songs being sung in the temples by devotees and crystal clear water of the canal which was flowing with musical sounds created by its movement. They decided to take a dip in soothing waves. The branches of trees kissing the water added grace to the enchanting scene. They looked spellbound.
They entered the water and read the warning painted in red ink in bold letters on a board erected in the canal – DANGER BEYOND HERE. Unfortunately they became blind in enthusiasm. Two of them crossed the warning point and were swept away by powerful currents. All the four cried hysterically for help. Fortunately some fisher men heard them, jumped into water promptly and struggled. Finally they saved them form the raging water. The rescuers were rewarded by the district administration on the spot.

Moral :

Look Before You Leap Or Do Not Ignore Warnings.

Subject: VOICE AGAINST  ROAD RAGE

Sir/Madam

Through the columns of your prestigious newspaper, I want to draw the attention of all and sundry to the fast increasing incidents of road rage in the NCR. This problem has attained a very dangerous magnitude which is posing a grave threat to those who travel on these roads. Many precious lives have been lost and hundreds of people have got severe injuries in such cases.

Some of the reasons behind it are –tense lives, impatience, unhealthy competitions, unfounded ego issues and poor environments at work places. The newly emerged night life on roads is also a factor for which the NCR is not fully ready yet.

There is a dire need to prevent the situation from turning bad to worse. Patience prevents many unwanted and unpleasant occurrences. I make a fervent appeal to all of those who have a stake in this matter to invent and implement some effective measures in true spirit. The transport departments may organize awareness campaigns in collaboration with NGOs .Educational institutions may opt for rallies. Punitive actions without delay by the law for the repeated offenders can help a lot. Above all, the individuals driving on these roads must treat others as their equals and friends and not as adversaries.
It is requested to give some space to my views in your esteemed newspaper. Hoping for the best and eliciting prompt and positive responses.
Yours truly

Sir/Madam

Regretfully I am to state that I purchased a Nokia phone from your showroom vide receipt number 2074 dated 13th October, 2018. It bears a warranty of one year from the date of its purchase.

It worked perfectly well for about 12 days. It has developed some problems in the last 2 days. When I receive a call a purring sound is heard. Other than it, the sheen of the display board is also diminishing.

These problems are causing me much inconvenience and adversely affecting my professional work.
An early redressal of the complaint is sought. It is requested to replace it or rectify the defect without delay.
